Places are running out for the Tora Coastal Challenge.
More than 500 places out of a limit of 750 have been taken for this year's Tora Challenge, say organisers.
Event director Rachael Fletcher encouraged anyone who is thinking of doing the event to register.
The Tora Challenge, on May 1, includes a 6km walk/run, 18km walk/run and 32km run, with participants covering a route used by people doing the Tora Coastal Walk, New Zealand's longest running private multi-day walk.
The course takes people over hill country and coastal farms, river valleys, native bush and along the Tora coastline.
