KEY POINTS:
Regency Duty Free has been dumped from Auckland Airport in favour of the Melbourne-based James Richardson Group.
Last year, the Commerce Commission forced the airport to backtrack on plans to have just one duty-free operator, DFS Galleria.
Regency had hoped it would be retained as the second operator.
