Three large sections in an exclusive residential development designed by Queenstown architect Fred van Brandenburg, who also designed Taupo's Huka Lodge and Millbrook Resort in Queenstown, are being offered for sale.
The development, located halfway between Queenstown and Arrowtown, will offer owners a private and majestic setting in which to build a home.
On Domain Road, the development, called Reflections, contains three large sites ranging from 6247 sq m to 7635 sq m, with building platforms carefully placed so dwellings will largely be screened from each other.
The property has private ponds and expansive 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains, with Coronet Peak in the north and The Remarkables in the south. Residents will have access to a central common space which contains a `chip and putt' golf practice area and tennis court.
Marketing agent Wayne Cafe, of Bayleys Queenstown, says resource consents are in place and all sections are titled.
Cafe says the company has created a set of guidelines addressing landscaping and the design and construction of potential dwellings.
Certain aspects of home design, such as the pitch of the roof, height and some building materials, are prescribed by the developer and Queenstown Lakes District Council, but outside of these parameters, purchasers are free to design their properties as they wish, he says.
The ponds on the sections could potentially be incorporated into the design of a home.
"Reflections has breathtaking views and is a one-of-a-kind development that would suit purchasers seeking to build top-end homes in a magnificent location in the heart of the Wakatipu Basin.
"It offers the benefits of rural living without having to look after large tracts of land."
Sections are priced from $895,000.
