A Bay op shop is introducing a range of budget-friendly second-hand goods to help the community as the cost of living continues to rise.
Waipuna Hospice’s “Waipuna Wares” range will be sold at its MacDonald St store in Mount Maunganui from August 29.
Jace Dowman, the general manager of retail at the hospice, said many people were struggling to buy clothing and essential household items as the cost of living rises.
“Waipuna Wares will offer more affordable items to help our community and prolong the life of donated items,” Jace says.
“Our mission is to turn second-hand items into first-class care for the terminally ill and bereaved, and if we can do that while helping those in our community, even better.
