Years of filming and build-up are coming to a head in a frenzy of red carpets, premieres and reviews for Kong and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
First up is Peter Jackson's much anticipated Kong, the first offering from the man since Lord of the Rings. New Zealand has to wait until the premiere in Wellington on December 14, but the world premiere is tonight in the city that stars in the film itself - New York. That's Tuesday morning here, for E Channel addicts.
Two days later is the World Royal Premiere of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, the film based on CS Lewis' books, by New Zealand director Andrew Adamson.
Prince Charles and Camilla will walk down the red carpet in London on Wednesday (Thursday morning NZT), just hours before the New Zealand premiere at Auckland's Civic theatre at 7pm on Thursday. The NZ$219 million film took three and a half years to create.
