KEY POINTS:
Following the approval of the European Commission and shareholders, the acquisition of global specialist recruitment company Vedior by Randstad Holding was finalised on May 16.
By joining forces, Vedior and Randstad have become the second largest recruitment network in the HR services industry worldwide, with a large candidate base spread throughout 53 countries and 34,000 employees.
Debbie Loveridge, chief executive officer of Vedior Asia Pacific, says the move is extremely positive for the future of HR services in the Asia Pacific region.
"For Vedior Asia Pacific, it is business as usual with no change to current management structure. The Vedior brand as well as our local operating company brands will continue as before. We will take a view over the next few months on the Holding company brand in this region given this change to our ultimate ownership structure," Ms Loveridge.
"Globally this acquisition will mean more resources and specialist expertise will be available for employees and employers alike, as we now offer a broader service portfolio. For our people, we will continue to offer a challenging and inspiring work environment. There will be greater opportunities for personal growth and development for everyone within the new organisation," she said.
