Specialist public relations, communications, marketing and creative recruitment agency, TPA (The Publicity Agency) has opened its first New Zealand-based office in Auckland.
With demand for corporate public relations, marketing and communications professionals at its peak in New Zealand, the niche provider is hoping to capitalise on businesses struggling to attract talent as a result of the skills shortage.
"The recent 2008 Vedior Asia Pacific Employment Trends Survey indicated that nearly 70 per cent of employers in New Zealand reported that the skills shortage is having a negative impact on their business," said Kalena Jefferson, general manager of TPA Asia Pacific.
Sandy Blomfield, executive manager of TPA New Zealand says that businesses requiring marketing, communications and creative professionals in the ongoing talent shortage.
"It has never been more important to match the right people to the right role, which means drawing from a rich pool of candidates from a wide variety of markets and backgrounds," she says.
Blomfield has more than 10 years experience in recruitment industry in the New Zealand market. The TPA team of consultants come from the local communications industry.
A second TPA office is planned and will open in Wellington city in late 2008.
