Bacon and cheese pasta
Serves 4
• 25g butter
• 1 onion, chopped finely
• 4 rashers bacon, cut into chunks
• 1 Tbsp flour
• 1½ cups milk
• 1 Tbsp thyme leaves
• 1 cup grated tasty cheese
• 4 cups cooked pasta
1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. Melt butter in a pot. Add onion and bacon and cook for 4 or 5 minutes without browning. Add flour and stir for 2 minutes. Slowly add milk, stirring until sauce has thickened. Stir through thyme, half the cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
