Snow bunnies took to the slopes around Queenstown yesterday, after skifields finally got the dumping of white stuff they'd been waiting for.
After it was announced that Cardrona skifield would be relying solely on man-made snow for its opening this week, the skies gave way yesterday and the snow came in the nick of time.
There had not been a significant snowfall in the area since May, and skifields were forced to delay opening. However, yesterday's dump saw skiers and snowboarders flocking to the fields.
