A Wellington real estate agent who allegedly duped an elderly Reefton woman out of more than $160,000 appeared in Westport District Court this morning.
Patrick Walker, 57, is facing 19 charges of taking, obtaining, or using documents for pecuniary advantage.
His case was adjourned to December 12 without plea.
His charges spanned from November 2007 to May 2009. They included using cheques and an eftpos card belonging to 92-year-old Reefton resident Edith South.
After Mrs South appeared on TV One's Close Up programme in April, offers of help poured in from around the country. They included one from Mad Butcher chief executive Michael Morton who offered to buy her a house.
