Wairarapa police have confirmed they are investigating a shooting threat at Rathkeale College.
Acting area commander Inspector Tracey Thompson said an online threat had been made towards the school.
"Police are continuing to liaise closely with the college to ensure the safety of students and staff. Although there has been a recent spate of hoax threats to educational institutions, we ask that people report anything suspicious or out of the ordinary to 111."
It was understood the threat was made on Sunday and police and the school were informed on Monday.
