The South Wairarapa District Council's annual plan has been adopted and the rates increase finalised for the 2013/14 year.
It has been set at 3.93 per cent which is slightly higher than the 3.87 per cent proposed in the draft annual plan.
However, it is below the 4.07 per cent budgeted rates increase in the council's long term plan.
Twenty different groups made their case to the council and 120 individual issues were considered.
Key projects in the annual plan include spending $100,000 to upgrade three summer outdoor pools, earthquake strengthening the Martinborough Town Hall and managing water.
