An Auckland-born man who went on a frenzied rampage across Sydney raping and assaulting women told a psychologist he felt powerful when he heard his victims scream.
Shannon Curreen, 23, was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years and nine months in prison after pleading guilty to raping two teenagers and attacking a further 10 women between February and August last year.
The Sydney District Court heard Curreen's interest in raping women developed in early 2009 when he began to watch rape scenes over the internet and on YouTube.
