A convicted rapist heads to the Court of Appeal today in a bid to quash his conviction.
Jason Cumming was sentenced to seven and a half years in jail in December 2002 after raping, abducting and assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Christchurch.
During his trial, Cumming conducted his own defence, which raised serious concerns from Rape Crisis when he spent two days cross-examining his victim.
