Ward 14 at North Shore Hospital is staffed by patient angels and our family would like to thank them for their wonderful care of our Betty.

Walked home after the wonderful Dawn Service in the Domain. Everywhere quiet and contemplative, to find our neighbour water-blasting his roof. Showed a complete lack of respect for everyone, I thought.
Thank you to the kind woman (Sandy) who drove my son from Papatoetoe to Manukau City when she overheard him asking where he could catch a bus after spending two hours trying to get to MIT from Pukekohe due to the cancellation of trains caused by a fatality. Your kindness was much appreciated.
Why do people think it is acceptable to drop their inorganic rubbish on someone else's berm, even when a collection is not scheduled for months. Also, why do dog owners think it acceptable to allow their dog to poop on my berm and not have the decency to pick it up, so I mow over it, creating a stench and the need to wash down my lawnmower afterwards.

Shame on the couple at Western Park, Ponsonby Rd, on Anzac morning who thought it laughable that their unleashed dog desecrated the beautiful Poppy Memorial.
I only hope that when the individual poppies are given away on Monday, they receive the one with their dog's signature on it!

It seems every time I go through the on-ramp at Gillies Ave, the amount of litter and general rubbish is shocking. What an eyesore. I did contact the council about this but not sure if it's ever been attended to or not. To the lazy people who toss the cans, burger boxes, butts, bottles and disposable nappy I think I saw, shame on you. You're a disgrace to the city. To the Auckland Council, do something to clean up this mess, please.
