I have to say a huge thank you to the hard-working staff at Motat. They have gone above and beyond not just once, but every time my son and I have visited, to make his trip a real experience to remember. Thank you for taking the time, engaging with him and showing him how all your trucks, trains and printing presses work.
Don't you just hate the mean-spirited persons who squeeze every avocado on display, just to find the perfect one, and then leave the nasty finger bruises where they have been. A soft palm-rub will do.

A message arriving with a "ping" on a device and its owner typing a reply on a lit screen can be as distracting as a cellphone ringing to people sitting nearby at a talk or concert.
A huge thank you to the passer-by and/or the staff at Auckland International Airport long-term carpark. We had parked our car in the long-term parking area E for 12 days. On our return we noticed a plastic sheet taped over the driver side rear window. Thinking that it had been broken accidentally, or vandalised, we thought "Oh well, insurance call next business day, too tired to do anything now". But on our arrival home we realised that we had left the window partially down; in our haste to be away on holiday we had forgotten to check the windows were all up. There was a little water in the car but no damage.

Auckland Transport, what is the point in taking the train every day when I would have better luck sitting in traffic. My train has been cancelled four times in the past week. If you want to overcharge people who use your services, you could at least invest in being reliable.

My 88-year-old mother from Waiheke was visiting my sick Dad in Auckland Hospital last week when she left her handbag behind while leaving the hospital. A very kind man handed it in to the fifth floor reception. After locating the cellphone in her bag, the hospital redialled the last call on her mobile which my mother had made to a friend. When the friend received the call, my mother was actually with the friend and unaware she had forgotten her handbag. A big thank you to the staff member at Auckland Hospital level 5 reception.
