Traffic congestion could be reduced if the council made it compulsory for commercial premises to display their number. I can't be the only one driving along, say Dominion Rd, looking for a particular business. Police, fire brigades and ambulances suffer the same fate, resulting in delays. Perhaps those organisations could set an example as I have yet to see a number displayed on their buildings.

I ordered bearings for my motorcycle online from Pyramid Parts. The parcel arrived the following day and seemed to have been opened accidentally and one of the bearings was missing. I phoned the company and told them and the lady said she would send one. I received the replacement the next day. Well done Pyramid Parts.

I can't understand how people can think that hauling a marlin on a line for five hours before finally killing it is sport. Then they stand proudly beside their trophy as if they had done something heroic. If this were done to any creature on land the SPCA would become involved. Why is it different for creatures from the sea?

Last Thursday I had a flat tyre. Thanks to the man who alerted me to this, the other motorists who offered help and ensured this lady was safe, and to the student working at Gull in Forrest Hill Rd who went beyond his duty to assist with my inadequate tools, and who kept me company until the nice roadside rescue man arrived.
