Landlords who rent out property in a quiet residential area to groups of tenants usually with some sort of commercial diesel truck which comes and goes at all hours ... these landlords seem to be invisible so you cannot complain. They don't care about the residents who don't have any rights and have to put up with the noise.

At rush hour in the morning in Kohi a lady tripped and had quite a bad fall. Four well-dressed, busy-looking men separately sprinted to her aid, helping her up and to a nearby park bench. One ran to a cafe and got her a glass of water, another produced Band-Aids for her cuts, all spending time to make sure she was okay. So nice to see people helping out strangers!

Each day when I drive to work from Huapai, I crawl along in traffic alongside the railway line at Kumeu and wonder why there is no passenger train service operating on it. For years there has been a plan to extend train services to Kumeu but now I hear this has been dropped in favour of buses. Buses get stuck in the same traffic as everyone else on the road. How hard can it be to run a diesel train up to Huapai? Many people out this way, including myself, would ditch our cars if we had a train service.

Many thanks to the Milford Baptist church choir, they filled Milford Mall with a beautiful sound. We stepped back to a past where all seemed at peace. Thank you.
