Rant
Parks, beaches, events and displays - all family places, places for everyone to enjoy until someone who constantly swears comes along. It's not pleasant for people with young children to have to put up with and not a good example of how we want children to grow up. Yes, it would be easy enough to leave, but what if these families are, for example, waiting to get on the hydro-slide at the pools or at a fireworks display. People who swear all the time should really be more considerate of others.

At 1pm last Thursday two elderly, hot and exhausted ladies, one temporarily in a wheelchair, asked the driver of a Corporate Cab parked at the entrance to Princes Wharf the charge to drive them back to their cruise ship at the far end of the wharf. Without hesitation, and with a smile, this gentleman said he would take them without charge. These ladies will remember this courtesy as a highlight of their visit to New Zealand. As "driver" of the wheelchair from the Maritime Museum I regret not making a note of the car number but offer my thanks and gratitude.
