Unfortunately after queuing up, my wife realised she had no money. Before our two boys had a meltdown, a lovely Asian lady stepped up and paid the $2. What a delightful gesture.

Thumbs down to the guy in the flash Land Rover painted bright orange with stripes at BP Cavendish Drive in Manukau yesterday about 3.30pm - talking on his hands-free while filling up with petrol - I was also filling a car but how rude to make it so unsafe for everyone else - he is welcome to blow himself up but I object to being part of it.

I came to Auckland for my daughter to have surgery without my expensive hair product.
My hair started turning into straw after all the wonderful sun. I called into Shampoo N Things in 277 Broadway, Newmarket and was given a free small bottle of product.
The store has no chance of future sales as I live out of town, so it was very much appreciated.

I think there was an intention to provide a mountain bike path with the new housing development at Long Bay. However, trying to bike up the long steep gravel path from the beach at Long Bay is so difficult I challenge the councillors or whoever was responsible for the design to bike it.
Once up this I haven't the energy to try the rest of the pathway as this also looks only for the elite.

Granddaughter and grandma had great fun at the Parnell Pools last week.
There were lots of different nationalities and ages having fun in the sun. Interactive water play, different water temperatures, open space for lunching, attentive staff and all for less than $15, including locker storage and ice blocks for both.
Thanks to Auckland Council and pool staff.
