Mission Bay Reserve is one of Auckland's most popular summer evening spots. So why are the men's loos allowed to get so filthy? On Tuesday evening two urinals were flooded and the toilets were in a disgusting state. Is this place a First World city?

Well done Auckland Council on the fantastic boardwalk and art installations along Westhaven's waterfront. Love it.

I object to having to pay a toll on the Northern Toll Road when it is blocked due to congestion, especially at holiday weekends. This road was built to eliminate congestion and we pay for that privilege. When the traffic is not free-flowing, they should turn off the cameras and not charge motorists. They are not providing the service which they are charging for.

On Sunday, just before noon, I had the misfortune to have a car accident at Royal Oak.

I experienced much kindness from so many people. They phoned the AA, the police and the insurance company (a tricky one!). The party at fault, the gentleman whose car I shunted into a shop window, and the shopkeeper himself, were all gracious. Lastly, the tow-truck driver was helpfulness itself. Driving me home with my poor little car towed behind. Thank you all - you were marvellous and a great outcome in that nobody was injured.

That disgusting habit of coffee houses and some restaurants when polishing floors at the end of the day placing the seats of chairs upside down on the tables where we are expected to eat next day. Goodness knows what turmoil the seats have gone through during the day especially during this hot weather.

My elderly mother's hot water cylinder burst, water everywhere! I rang two people who both advertise 24-hour assistance for flooding (not!). I then rang Peter from Enviroclean, Whangarei (by this time, 7.30pm on a Sunday) - he was at my mum's house within half an hour. I can't thank Peter from Enviroclean enough for the wonderful service he provided!
