Our stunning town opens its arms to visitors but our road entrances/exits are being trashed with takeaway wrappers, alcohol, coffee and soft-drink containers. I am a cyclist out there picking this up. Why can't people keep the rubbish in their vehicles until they reach home or bin it?

Many thanks to the kind bush walkers on the Waikowhai Walkway who move to the side to let me past and even offer encouragement as I jog up steep, narrow hills and stairs.
Are we the only people that notice that milk, of all types, "goes off" more quickly than ever? We find that milk smells and tastes off well before the expiry date even though it is always put away in the fridge straight after use.
A beggar in CBD was hassling me to the point where I felt uncomfortable at the bus stop. I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to the gentleman in a business suit who chased the other guy away, waited until I jumped on my bus then carried on walking.

There are irresponsible dog owners in every suburb. Including those at the beachfront house in Omaha. The dogs were released from the house to take themselves for a run on the beach. They may be well behaved dogs but it doesn't absolve the owners of responsibility, including picking up after your dog.

My family and I went to Queenstown over the long weekend. Wow! South Island is so beautiful and breath taking! It makes us want to move out of Auckland! Keep it up South Island! You're doing something right.
Constantly we hear of cyclists criticising motorists for lack of consideration on our roads. But driving along East Coast Rd early mornings, you see groups of cyclists out for their daily race along suburban streets, often two abreast. Do cyclists think they have a separate set of road rules?

We're appalled at the amount of littering that goes on in Auckland CBD. We've just come up from Tauranga, took a walk down Queen St and the amount of people walking and dropping rubbish or cigarette butts was just atrocious.
