Drivers who don't indicate when going around roundabouts or going into another road are frustrating but the worst driving experience is when people turn in front of you into a driveway without indicating. It is common sense and shows respect for other drivers. Do you really want to cause a serious accident?

Thumbs up to the lovely lady who, when exercising her dog at Madill's Farm, Kohimarama, not only picked up her dog's deposit but searched the park for stray leftovers from other dogs. When complimented, she said if dog owners were not more considerate everyone might lose the right to have their dogs there. What a champ!

With our rates soaring will the council find a few pence to clear our gutters and drains which still have leaves from last autumn that happily live beside the growing weeds.

I have been visiting a family member in the critical care and HDU unit at Middlemore Hospital over several days.

I want to heap the highest praise on the staff within - they showed such caring for the patient, and support for those visiting. They shared with the family the treatments and were just wonderful people.

Following the secondary schools' dragon boat racing at the Orakei Basin Reserve last Saturday, we were disgusted at the amount of litter left on the grass. Do the organisers expect local residents to clean up after them?
