Last Saturday, I bought a wheelbarrow at Bunnings Te Rapa, then oops ... would it fit in my car? Immediately two young lads jumped out of their car and offered to help. No luck, so they asked me my address and slid it into their station wagon and delivered it with huge smiles. Thank you so much, Bailey and Starion. Gold stars to you both, and to your parents.

I lost my ticket after parking in the downtown carpark and was told that the penalty was $40. It costs $17 to park there all day. Why the discrepancy?

What wonderful service and smiles you encounter when shopping at New World Victoria Park.

The small bridge with one-way drive, entering Fairview Ave from Oteha Valley Rd, needs to be upgraded as a two-way drive ASAP. The Fairview Heights area was sparsely populated but now there are heaps of people living there. It's so busy, up and down, through that bridge. Many times, people try to ignore the one-way rules, so accidents quite often happen.

I am a stroke survivor. Made the effort to visit Headland Sculpture on the Gulf yesterday on Waiheke Island. The walk involves some steep ups and downs and, the bane of my life, stairs without handrails. About three-quarters of the way around I slipped and I fell. A big thank you to the three strong men who came along soon after and pulled me back up on to my feet. Then huge thanks to the kind volunteer who helped me to the finish.
