To all the folk for their concern and thoughtfulness when I misjudged my parking at SkyCity. I really did appreciate your kindness.

My rant: drivers who persist in turning too late into traffic streams from parking, causing the driver coming up to brake to let them in (yes, I am a considerate driver) but then they just dawdle along with no attempt to quickly get up to the speed allowed in that area - most frustrating!
Well done to the men doing the inorganic collection in the Balmoral area last week. Not only did they pick up articles put out for collection, they raked the berms where mess had been left behind, and swept the gutters. It's a pretty thankless job, but they did it with good humour.
Every morning on Symonds St, I see cyclists using the road instead of dedicated cycle lanes provided on the footpath over the motorway bridge up to K Rd as they travel to the city. Not only are they endangering their lives, but also causing an impediment to the northbound traffic.

Good on Auckland Libraries for offering free emagazines through Zinio. The range (500+!) of magazines is enormous to suit all interests - travel, home styling, fashion, craft, hobbies, motorcycles, fishing, whatever! I have downloaded all sorts of magazines that I have never read before. Thanks Auckland Libraries for enabling Auckland residents to download the latest magazines from all over the world to read at our leisure.

To the dog owners on a local reserve who go to the trouble of collecting faeces in plastic bags and then leave the bag (with contents) hanging on fences, trees, etc. What is the point? Plastic bags are just as bad for the environment.
