To the older lady walking her two little dogs in the Botanical gardens late on Sunday afternoon, I was absolutely disgusted as you continued walking while one of your pooches relieved himself right next to the footpath - and it was not picked up. The amount of dog manure in this area is appalling. Pure laziness.

I would like to thank the person who picked up the wallet in the pit area of Waikaraka Park Speedway on Saturday night. Wished you had left your name - I would have rewarded you with the $7.57 I had in it. Thanks again for your honesty. Speedway fans are the best!
To the woman who knocked on our door after thinking her car was stolen from the park: We got out of bed at 11.30pm to answer your persistent knocking, and suggested your car might just be up the road further. You then walked up the road to check while we searched further down the road for your car. We then saw you drive past us without even a glance, wave or thanks of any kind. Rude woman, you are a shocker.
I would like to rave about the AA service. My wife and I arrived back to Auckland Airport on Tuesday, late afternoon. Our car, which had been parked there for two weeks, would not start. We rang AA and they came within 15 minutes, got the car started and away we went. Got 10 minutes down the road and lost all power. Called AA and again got jump-started and away we went. After another 15 minutes, the motor cut out again. Called AA and again they came in pouring rain, at 10.30 at night, and assisted us to a service station where we put in a new battery and got home safely. Great service.

One nasty driver along Mt Eden Rd with three offences early in the morning: He used the median to overtake, was driving more than the maximum limit and ran the red light in Mt Eden-Balmoral intersection. Please don't risk your life and others.

Huge thanks to the Tauranga Council for the brilliant seaside children's playground at Memorial Park. It features swimming pools, miniature trains, skate bowl, skating rink, mini golf, free barbecues, shady trees and now a brilliant rocket slide. This park is every kid's dream, and a godsend for parents.
