How will an underground rail tunnel from Britomart to Mt Eden help anyone? Surely with the amount of rates Len Brown wants to spend for us we could have a train travelling to the airport or/and one out Pakuranga way. I live in South Auckland and we feel we're paying for the inner city only; even the roundabout flowers are not what they were under the old Manukau City Council!

On Friday, November 7, my wife had a fall on the footpath adjacent to Botany Town Centre car park. A couple immediately came to our aid and helped me get her up and the lady put a towel around her shoulders and stayed with her while I fetched our car. A gentleman then used his phone to call an ambulance. We would like to say how much we appreciated their very kind assistance and hope that they read this.

Why did Auckland Transport and Transdev not run any train services from Helensville for the Farmers Santa Parade this year? Special trains from Helensville have been put on every year for many years and have always been popular, especially with families.

Why do we allow drivers to smoke while operating their vehicles? If the eyes of concerned law enforcement officers see the use of a cellphone while operating a vehicle to be unsafe, then surely sparking up a cigarette with one hand while driving on a rainy day should be banned too. This is even MORE dangerous than using cellphones while driving. Can somebody explain this?'

Unbeknown to us a bulldozer broke the water main in our street and the water suddenly went off. I called Watercare and immediately reached a real live person in Auckland who told me exactly and pleasantly what had happened and how long it would take to fix (and they were right within 5 minutes).
