I would like to thank the North Shore Council for the beautiful gardens. I get a buzz every time I see them. They are all well maintained and colourful.

People who complain about drinking coffee in a takeaway cup inside the cafe. For those with arthritis or repetitive strain injuries heavy coffee cups with little handles can he difficult, even painful to hold. A takeaway cup is easier and we pay the same price.
Over the last two weeks I made four visits to " Spark" (Telecom) at St Lukes with a simple problem with my mobile phone. Each time I was attended to by four different sales staff who said they had solved my problem. Wrong. Today a visit to Spark at Newmarket and problem fixed by a delightful young lady.
Massive subdivisions, apartment blocks being built, dozens of shops being squeezed into tiny Browns Bay and along the North Shore, yet I do not see any expansion of roads or parking taking place. In the mornings just getting in and out of Browns Bay the traffic is bumper to bumper.

Sick of competitive cooking, house renovation and FBI vs misunderstood-cop shows, I switched to Maori Television one night. The range of documentaries makes for very interesting and informative viewing and a couple of nights ago featured the story of Eddie Mabo, an indigenous Murray Islander who settled in Townsville.
What an incredible programme. Well done Maori Television.

Living on the fringes and working in Auckland I take exception to discourteous drivers who sit on the open road at 70km/h until they approach a passing lane, at which time they speed up to 110km/h, increasing the exasperation of the long tail of traffic behind, to which they seem blissfully unaware.
