Don't you ever think that there are just too many people being angered or upset by little things in the world? I certainly do! The number of people who are outraged by things that are not important is crazy. For example, some people are infuriated by an annoying commentator on TV. Or because during a doubles tennis match, the partners high-fived every point. Why do people always have to be upset about things? People need to change. Change from always being upset to being happy and enjoying their lives.

A big thank-you to the off-duty police sergeant who stopped and organised police and witness details after I was knocked off my bike in Mt Eden. She gave up an hour of her time despite having friends in the car to whom she was showing the sights of Auckland. Thank you so much.

What is it with people who stop more than a car length from the line at a red light? This really grates on my last nerve. There is a set of lights in my area that usually only lets two or three cars through on a good day before going orange, and this idiot in a green Mazda parked a mile away from the line then, when the light changed to green, he just sat there, so I beeped and he took off and went through an orange light and I had to stop and wait for what seemed like an hour. Oh yeah, the green Mazda gave me the finger as a parting gift.

Well done to the organisers for letting kids in for $5 [to the cricket on Saturday]. And to Auckland Transport for door-to-door bus travel for many.
