Workers at New Zealand's international airports will soon be subjected to random screening.
From next month staff will be randomly screened for prohibited items or substances that could be a threat to aviation security.
Director Of Civil Aviation Steve Douglas says the screening means staff will be subjected to similar controls to those passengers experience.
The random screening of workers will begin on March 31.
