They drove their car through a Te Kauwhata bakery and then robbed a service station on the Bombay Hills.
But shortly afterwards their crime spree came to a screaming halt as three of the four offenders were arrested by Counties Manukau police.
Waikato police Senior Sergeant Ray Malcolmson said the bakery on Main Rd, Te Kauwhata, was the target of a ram raid at 2.47am.
The group then fled north and robbed a service station on the Bombay Hills.
The vehicle was stopped soon after and three of the four offenders were caught by police.
