Waikato police are on the trail of a group of offenders who broke into two Thames shops this morning before security spooked them.
Senior Sergeant Andrew Mortimore said three men broke into an electronics shop about 4am but left and it's yet unknown what, if anything, was taken.
The trio have then stolen a Mitsubishi and used it to ram raid another electronics shop on the main street.
However, they were spooked by security staff who were responding to the first break-in.
Mortimore said the stolen vehicle was found nearby.
