KEY POINTS:
Striking radiographers have returned to work as their union considers an offer which would end a long-running employment dispute.
District Health Board lead negotiators Chai Chuah and Garry Smith said today the DHBs and Association of Professionals and Executive Employees (Apex) had reached an agreement over pay-parity, which was going out to union members for ratification.
The union had lifted all strike action and services would return to normal across the seven DHBs, they said in a statement.
"DHBs are pleased with the progress and look forward to hearing the result of the union ratification process.
"Clinicians throughout the seven affected DHBs will be delighted that the union has lifted the strike notices for Southland, Otago, Canterbury, Hutt Valley, Bay of Plenty, Lakes and Tairawhiti District Health Boards and that services for patients can return to normal."
The union and employers have agreed not to discuss the terms of the settlement until after the union members have had an opportunity to consider it.
