Veteran host Wayne Mowat is likely to lose his afternoon show in a radical programming shake-up at Radio New Zealand expected by August.
A 30-page National Radio "proposals for change" document outlines 83 changes. Most shows from 1pm on will be revamped.
A source said Mowat was likely to be "moved on" when his weekday afternoon show was replaced with a more news-focused show.
