KEY POINTS:
Former Kiwi jockey Shane Dye will make a hit-and-run visit to Hong Kong next week to ride Vigor Delight in the feature Classic Mile.
Dye last rode in Hong Kong in January 2008 and has had just a handful of winners since he returned to Sydney last autumn.
The South China Morning Post reported that Dye had answered the call from long-time friend Peter Law Kin-sang, with whom he had a successful association in Hong Kong beginning with three group one wins and a Horse of the Year title with Grand Delight in 2003.
They also combined to win the 2007 group three Premier Bowl with Royal Delight who went on to run third in the Hong Kong International Sprint.
Melbourne jockey Luke Nolen will consider appealing against a careless riding suspension incurred at the Gold Coast Magic Millions carnival.
Nolen was suspended for seven meetings until January 24 and was fined A$500 ($605) by Queensland stewards after pleading guilty to causing interference on his mount Drizzle in the Stayer's Cup (1800m).
Stewards sidelined Nolen for allowing Drizzle to shift in at the 1600 metres on to Rebounded.
