Wairarapa firefighters doused two small fires on Tuesday.
Masterton fire commander Henry Stechman had raised the possibility of fireworks creating work for firefighters on Tuesday night after a damp Guy Fawkes the previous evening but the calls did not eventuate.

Fire communications supervisor Craig Dally said a crew took about 15 minutes to extinguish the fire, which had broken out in the lounge room of the residential property shortly after 5pm.
