A two-car smash at a Featherston intersection on Sunday evening resulted in a wrecked car but no injuries.
Around 5.30pm a Suzuki Swift coming out of Murphys Line and a Ford sedan heading towards Martinborough on SH53 collided, with the Swift losing its front grill work.
The driver of the Swift received bruising to his leg but otherwise he and his passenger were unhurt.
Two fire trucks, police and an ambulance attended.
A nearby resident, who asked not to be named, said she heard a "huge bang" and phoned emergency services without going to look.
