The Government is making changes to the Queen's Birthday Honours this year to mark the Queen's golden jubilee.
Prime Minister Helen Clark said this year's honours, to be announced on June 3, would be known as the Queen's Birthday and Golden Jubilee Honours.
The list would contain additional honours, among them special appointments to the Order of New Zealand, the highest order.
New Zealand Post had issued golden jubilee and royal visit stamps and, with the Reserve Bank, a commemorative royal visit coin.
