Earthquakes struck the King Country and Wanganui this morning, the largest measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale.
GNS Science said the 4.2 magnitude quake shook the King Country at 9.21am. It was centred 10km east of Ohura, near Taumarunui, at a depth of 210km.
A 3.6 magnitude quake was felt in the Wanganui region at 10.20am. It was centred 20km southwest of the city, at a depth of 12km.
