Quakes hit Marlborough

Central Marlborough was hit by an earthquake yesterday afternoon of magnitude 3.9.

Geological and Nuclear Sciences reported on its website that the quake hit at 4.54pm and was centred 5km deep and 10km east of Seddon.

Less than two hours later, Seddon was hit by another earthquake at the same location which measured 3.6.
