Quake shakes Otaki

An earthquake measuring 4.2 in magnitude jolted the Kapiti Coast today.

GNS Science said the tremor hit at 5.38am, was centred 30km north west of Otaki and was 50km deep.

The quake was reported to have been felt at Raumati Beach, GNS said.
