A magnitude 4.6 earthquake has struck in the southern Hawke's Bay this morning.
The quake struck at 8.21, 20 km south of Takapau and 30km east of Dannevirke, at a depth of 50km.
Geonet said the quake was felt in the southern Hawke's Bay and in the Wairarapa, with reports it was felt in Palmerston North and as far south as Foxton Beach.
