Quake hits Fiordland

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in Fiordland this morning.

The 33km deep earthquake hit 120km west of Tuatapere at 9.26am.

GNS science said the quake may have been felt in the Fiordland region.
