KEY POINTS:
Qantas is to suspend its 12 flights a week between Christchurch and Wellington from March because of competition and market demand.
The flights will be suspended from March 11 and passengers booked to travel after that date will receive a full refund.
Qantas will continue to operate more than 220 services each week between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and Rotorua.
