KEY POINTS:
Police are hunting for a young woman dressed only in pyjamas who has gone missing from a private Dunedin psychiatric hospital.
Megan Woodman, 19 walked out of the Ashburn Clinic yesterday afternoon wearing only a pink pyjama top with yellow tee shirt underneath and yellow pyjama bottoms.
Constable Don Peat said police had serious concerns for her safety because of the cold wet weather and her light clothing.
Ms Woodman is described by police as 175 cm tall, of European descent, thinly built with blonde hair and wearing glasses.
Dunedin police are asking public in the area to be on the lookout for her.
