PureNature: A natural choice

With a passion for only the finest natural ingredients from New Zealand and around the world, PureNature.co.nz takes the hard work out of going natural.

PROMOTION: Since 2006 Pure Ingredients has traded in exactly that; BioGro organic-certified and naturally sourced raw materials used in the production of daily essentials, from face creams to household cleaners.

In 2012, the company launched PureNature.co.nz - an online store and showroom in Glendene, Auckland. It's a store like no other; catering both for those who want to make their own cosmetics, soap or natural beauty products, and those who simply want to buy them from a company with years of discerning experience separating the excellent from the average.

"We started by simply offering raw materials for skincare. As demand grew, we quickly expanded to include ingredients for soap making, make up, massage, aromatherapy and more," says Emmett Bowker, PureNature general manager.

"In 2015, we have decided to expand even further and now offer a selection of raw foods, culinary oils and other specialty ingredients. To fit in with our passion for natural cosmetics, we also added a selection of New Zealand's favourite natural skincare and personal care products."

Bowker believes that the appetite for natural products is growing in New Zealand. "More and more people are looking for healthier and more sustainable alternatives to their usual food, household products, cosmetics or skincare. In the past these products were only available at expensive specialty stores. We're trying to make the natural lifestyle more accessible by offering high quality natural products at highly competitive prices."

The PureNature.co.nz store delivers an array of possibilities. Bowker says the kits for making your own natural soaps, lip balms and makeup are especially popular, and make for a unique gift.

The site also features all the ingredients and a number of recipes for creating your own natural skincare products, which can be as simple as a homemade foot balm or body butter.

For the time-pressed, the site offers ready-made beauty essentials. Bowker says they have sought out the most on-trend products, such as natural insect repellent, hair dye, tooth gel and healing balms - and priced them competitively.

Right now there are plenty of options for natural gift packs for Christmas, with products from the likes of Weleda, Sukin and Tui Balms. Well-known favourites Kiwiherb and Living Nature feature alongside up-and coming NZ brands Tailor Skincare and Primal Rituals.

Wholefoods is PureNature's newest category and fits perfectly with the natural living ethos. On offer are a range of bulk organic wholefoods - from superfoods to natural sweeteners, protein powders to nuts, seeds and snack foods. Again, PureNature have done the math and have made their prices hard to beat.

PureNature.co.nz offers free delivery for orders over $100 (deliveries are a nominal $6.50 under this), and orders over $200 will be dispatched with a free gift.
