More than a hundred Wairarapa College pupils ran through a gamut of musical genres - jazz, heavy metal, dance, and pop - at their annual Variety Show this year.
Music teacher Lucy Wise said rock bands, jazz and classical bands, choirs, and orchestras had rolled out the show over Wednesday and Thursday nights last week, with the college first XV raising the curtain with a team haka both evenings.
The four choirs that performed at the Big Sing also featured, with senior pupils Alice Evans, Libby Oakly, Cody Sage, Annie Ruddock and Annie Jones organising and running the shows, while their senior classmates Aidan Hodgkinson and Morgan French-Stagg led the sound team.
"They also performed on stage themselves a number of times, singing and playing instruments, showing the depth of their skills."
Ms Wise said she was "amazed to see so many students, including a large group of juniors, enjoy performing in front of their family and friends on the big stage under lights".
