KEY POINTS:
A 21-year-old man was remanded for a psychiatric report on his second appearance today on a charge of assault which left a woman unconscious in her bedroom last month.
Tavita Barker also faced a drugs charge but his name was suppressed on both charges when he first appeared in the Auckland District Court last month.
That suppression order was lifted today and he was remanded to appear again on December 17.
The 46-year woman had serious head injuries when she was found unconscious at her home in Whitmore Road, Mt Roskill, by her 19-year-old daughter.
