Name suppression for a prominent Auckland barrister will continue until February at least.
He is facing three misconduct charges brought against him by the standards committee of the New Zealand Law Society.
The barrister has been battling to keep his name - and details of his case - from the public.
This week the Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal to have name suppression continued, as the High Court and the Lawyers and Conveyancers Tribunal had also previously done, and he sought protection from the Supreme Court.
In a decision just released by Justice McGrath, the barrister has been given until January 25 to file submissions to seek leave to appeal the Court of Appeal's decision.
