The $3 million building for the site of the former Opera House is going ahead according to plan, says project manager David Hargood.
Healthcare provider Pathways/Care NZ will be the main leaseholder for the Lincoln Rd building.
The building, most recently used by Mick D's Auctions, was demolished last year because it did not meet earthquake safety standards and was deemed too costly to strengthen.
Mr Hargood said the owner, Trust Lands Masterton, tried to re-use and recycle materials. As a result, windows from the Opera House and timber flooring from St Patrick's School have been used.
The windows and floor were used in the large glass atrium, and additional flooring has also been used as a feature wall in the main entrance.
